Act on general insurance premiums (12-08-2011)

The deadline of payments of health insurance are going to be unifi ed with the deadline of payments of social security. The proposed amendment of the Act has already been signed by Václav Klaus, the president of the Czech Republic. The amendment will come into force in August 2011. It can be applied starting from 2012. Previously, entrepreneurs had to pay the differences between their advance payments and the actual amount of health insurance within 8 days of submitting their tax return for the preceding calendar year. Under the new amendment, they will be obliged to pay the difference within 8 days of submitting their summary of revenues and expenses for the calendar year.
